Was really craving a bagel at around 5a.m. and I decided to give Sam's a try. It's got the hole in the wall feeling but all good NJ bagel shops will. Service was good as I was the only customer in the store. I got a BEC with a hash brown on an everything bagel. The bagel + a drink costed me a little under $13. The bagel was fluffy and I didn't feel skimped out on the bacon. I would definitely want to try this spot out again at a later time and see if I feel the same way about the quality of the food.
I've been a regular customer at Sam's for over ten years, so this review may be biased--but Sam's is the best bagel you're likely to find in the area. The staff are friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable, and I've never had a bad bagel from here. It's your classic hole in the wall bagel deli, but it's clean and offers lots of different food options. A recent order that I've enjoyed is the French toast bagel with Taylor ham, egg, and cheese.
